***To all South Carolinian cat lovers, please help!***
That sweet cat up there is in desperate need of a home. He’s currently living in a dormitory where pets are not allowed, and really needs to find a permanent home before winter break begins. He’s neutered, roughly 5 years old and about 10 lbs, still in possession of his claws. He enjoys cuddles and attention, is extremely tolerant of being manhandled, and walks with a bit of a limp due to a still-healing leg injury. Given his calm demeanor, he should be fine in a home with other cats, dogs, or children. So if any of you are looking for or know someone who might be looking for a chill adult cat this Christmas, please contact me at my tumblr (slightly-oblivvyous) or email (livvygranger@gmail.com).
Backstory - why he needs your help
Tibbs, as my roommate and I have come to call him, came into our possession through a series of unfortunate events. Someone dumped him out of a car into a neighborhood near our school, where fortunately a caring person picked him up and took him in. He got shuffled from house to dorm to dorm to dorm after a series of allergies and roommate freakouts got him continuously kicked out. Eventually, he landed with us, and settled in quite nicely. When we got him, he weighed barely over 6 lbs and slept constantly due to malnourishment. After just over a week of near-constant care and feeding, he’s up to 10 lbs and significantly more active. Due to his leg injury, he’s unable to jump, but he’s excellent at climbing, and has on several occasions managed to climb up into my bed for late-night snuggles. Unfortunately, our dorm is a pet-free zone, so every day we keep him here is a day we risk him being found out and kicked out again. After being put through so many rounds of Pass the Kitty, he really deserves somewhere he can settle down for good. So please, if you’re looking for a cat and don’t mind one who’s fully-grown and slightly gimpy, please consider taking Tibbs. He’ll love you unconditionally for it.
Even if you can’t adopt him, a reblog to help get the word out would be beautiful and earn my endless thanks. Tibbs doesn’t deserve to get left out in the cold for Christmas Break.
